The Master Plan

Árbol de Vida’s vision is to create sustainability not long-term dependency, though we will promote long-term relationships with the local churches and communities. We endeavor to be a bridge to unite the church of Christ internationally and to fulfill the Great Commission: make disciples who make more disciples.

Currently, we are in development and fundraising for PHASE 1.

PHASE 1

Current Goal: Raise $275,000 USD.

Raised funds are being used to build the entrance roads, parking areas, drainage, completion of the unfinished Hardy House (for teams and small events/classes), as well as the construction of the Hospitality House (to be used as a multi-purpose building, including the director’s residence and space for hosting teams and larger events, such as conferences and retreats). This 1st phase will allow us to utilize these 2 buildings for ministry, while development of property is ongoing.

PHASE 2

Staff Housing

In order to further develop and maintain camp amenities and programs, a strong team is needed. Building staff residences will allow the team and their families to live on camp property while serving.

PHASE 3

Camp Amenities

A merchandise shop and coffee house, pool area, dormitories, walking/bike bath, multi-purpose building/gym and therapeutic animal petting zoo are important amenities to help create long-term financial sustainability for Árbol de Vida.

PHASE 4

Church and Family Resource Center

The goal of this building will be to provide a safe, welcoming place to train, equip and restore the families of the Guanacaste region. This facility will be the main heartbeat of ministry on campus and will include a resource library, office(s) for counseling, skills training and education.

PHASE 5

Children’s Home and Rescue Center

This last stage will be a safe, temporary facility for children in abuse or/and trafficking situations, while we work (discipling and training) with the parents/care takers to restore the family unit. Phase 5 will need the most coordination with the Costa Rican government and local, national leadership.
